TRIGGERS
Excessively hard trigger:
Pull tends to break your concentration and may cause you to pull off the target.
The British have a General Rule for a trigger:
The British use a bench mark for accuracy. If the weight of the trigger is more than ½ the weight of the rifle, your accuracy is not as good and your ability to control the shot deteriorates.
There are times when you can pick up and cock the rifle, hold it by the trigger, point it at the floor and it will not release. Most factory manufactured rifles come with a (4 ½) to (6 ½) pound trigger pull which is on the heavy side.
